Michael’s career includes five years managing the professional services group at Quark, Inc., one of the largest software vendors in the publishing industry. After leaving Quark, Michael founded a privately held consulting company called eMerge Consulting Inc. eMerge was subsequently acquired by DeepBridge Content Solutions where Michael served as Vice President of the Western Region. Michael then joined PCI, where as part of the management team he ran all of the day-to-day operations of the company and acted as the project director. In January 2009, Michael and Hugues La Ricca reestablished eMerge Consulting. In addition to his management background, Michael also has broad technical experience in Digital Asset Management systems integration.

Hugues has been involved in software development for the publishing industry for 9 years. Before joining eMerge in 2009, he was Vice-President of Technology at PCI where he architected Scriba as well as many custom software solutions. He also worked on the iCPS suite of products. Prior to joining PCI, Hugues worked in support and system administration and studied computer science at Concordia University, Montreal, where he specialized in algorithm development, system software design, discrete mathematics, pattern recognition, and artificial intelligence.

Michael has over 20 years experience in editorial workflow and publishing technologies, with strong emphasis on technical support, training, and workflow analysis. Michael was a key member of the QPS technical support team at Quark, Inc., and has furthered his career with notable publishing technology integration firms as an expert in QPS and K4 integrations.

In addition to his editorial systems experience, John also has expertise in scripting, automation, and XML workflows for publishing, and is an authorized K4 integrator.

Annette has over 20 years experience in publishing technology including technical support, management of editorial systems, workflow analysis, content conversion and project management. Annette managed IT Support for Revlon’s Advertising Department and was most recently Manager of Publishing Systems at CMP/United Business Media. Annette’s focus is on "intelligent content creation" that allows for the use, reuse, aggregation and syndication of media content through industry standards such as PRISM.
