Scriba™ Features and Benefits
Unlock content from proprietary formats
Scriba, in conjunction with our platform-specific connectors, allows extraction of content from proprietary formats such as Adobe InDesign and InCopy, WoodWing Enterprise vjoon K4, Quark Publishing System and a variety of text-based formats.
Currently Shipping Scriba Connectors
InDesign/InCopy: The InScriba connector allows Scriba to process InDesign layouts natively. This includes processing content, linked assets, and geometry/layout information.
InDesign Server: The InDesign Server connector allows Scriba to manipulate and create InDesign layouts natively. The connector implements the InDesign Server API as a set of rules that can be used in the Scriba Manager interface.
WoodWing Enterprise: The Scriba Woodwing connector enables Scriba to process InDesign and InCopy assets as well as their metadata based on workflow statuses.
Vjoon K4: The Scriba K4 connector enables Scriba to process InDesign and InCopy assets as well as their metadata based on workflow statuses and/or tasks.
Quark Publishing System: The QPS connector allows Scriba to communicate directly with a QPS server and accomplish tasks such as asset checkout/checkin, querying, metadata viewing/editing, etc.
QuarkXPress Server: The InDesign Server connector allows Scriba to manipulate and create QuarkXPress and QuarkCopyDesk files natively.
MarkLogic: The MarkLogic Scriba connector enables Scriba to connect to a MarkLogic server directly using the xdbc interface. This enables Scriba to query for content and load content into an existing MarkLogic database.
Drupal: The Drupal connector allows Scriba to communicate directly with a Drupal based CMS to create articles/records in the CMS. This allows Scriba to export data directly to a Drupal CMS as part of any workflow.
Image Magick: The ImageMagick connector allows Scriba to process images and perform operations such as cropping, scaling, clipping, format conversions, etc. The connector can implement any functionality supported by ImageMagick.
Alfresco: The Alfresco connector enables Scriba to load content into Alfresco based repositories.
SQL Databases: The Scriba SQL connector enables Scriba to perform query/update/delete operations on any SQL database with JDBC support.
NorthPlains Telescope Connector: The Scriba Telescope plugin allows for direct communication with the Telescope IntegrationBroker. This enables Scriba to perform a multitude of operations on Telescope based DAM systems.
Adobe XMP Connector: The XMP connector allows Scriba to extract all XMP metadata out of any file type supported by the Adobe XMP libraries. This includes both standard and custom XMP fields.
